How Is Time Calculated?
Most people think of time as simply the number of years between two points. But precise date calculation involves accounting for leap years, varying month lengths, and even daylight saving time for hour-level accuracy.
For legal, medical, and official purposes, the duration on a specific date matters enormously. A contract expiring on the last day of the year has very different implications than one on the first day. QuantumCalc handles all these edge cases automatically.
In different cultures, time counting varies too. Some calendars count days differently or start new years at different times. Our calculator uses the Gregorian calendar for standard Western counting.
